Based on how the arm is raised and lowered, and how the material feed is managed, we offer the following types of Pilous metal band saws:
Controlled Descent (Gravity-Fed) with Manual Lift: The cutting process starts via the main switch, and the arm lowers by its own weight. Descent speed is regulated through a valve. Once the cut is complete, the blade motor shuts off automatically, and the operator manually raises the arm. The quick-release vise makes material clamping fast and easy.
Controlled Descent with Hydraulic Lift (Model H): A hydraulic cylinder automatically raises the saw arm after cutting. Lifting height can be adjusted based on the size of the material. The descent is gravity-fed, with speed regulated by a valve, providing a controlled, consistent cut every time.
Semi-Automatic (Hydraulic Descent and Lift) – Model SA: These machines feature a powerful hydraulic unit. With just one switch, the entire cutting cycle is automated: clamping the material, starting the blade, cutting, stopping the blade, raising the arm to a preset height, and opening the vise. Perfect for boosting productivity and precision.
